CEO, Mauritius Investment Corporation Ltd., Mauritius
Jitendra Bissessur was appointed as Officer-in-Charge of the Mauritius Investment Corporation Ltd
(MIC) since its inception in June 2020 and Chief Executive Officer since March 2021.
Previously, he was the Director of the Economic Research and Analysis and Statistics Department of the Bank of Mauritius (2018-2020). He worked as an economist in the African Department of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) (2013-14). A seasoned professional with over three decades of
experience in central banking and finance, Mr. Bissessur joined the Research Department of the Bank of Mauritius in January 1991.
He also served as a Member of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee, Statistics Board, and the IMF’s Task Force on Special Purpose Entities. He is skilled in macroeconomics and statistical analysis and forecasting and has gathered experience in corporate valuation and investment analysis.
